Company Background

Tatenhill Aviation Ltd was founded in 1987 with the intention of serving aircraft owners / operators with an approved maintenance facility at a competitive cost.

A later addition to the company was the introduction of a flying school which operates a varied fleet of light aircraft and provides instruction through its five permanent flying instructors all of which have many years of teaching experience.

The company was expanded in 1996 to include an avionics approval with the aim of providing avionics installation, fault finding and rectification work on a host of aircraft types. The avionics approval was again expanded in 2005 with the addition of an EASA Part 21 Subpart J Design Organisation Approval.

Community Support

As part of the local community we try and support local events particularly in aid of charity. Each year we donate several "trial lesson gift certificates" to raise funds for local charities.

Causes we have supported in the past year include:

  • St Modwen's School PTA
  • Mayor of East Staffordshire Borough Council Charity Ball - raising funds to the charities SCALE, Speakability and Age Concern.
  • John Taylor High School PTA
  • Newborough Well Dressing raising - funds for Ovarian Cancer Research and Newborough Village Community.
  • All Saints' Rangemore PTA
  • Katharine House Hospice - in patient care, day care, drop in day care, lymphoedema clinic, carers group, respite for carers, bereavement support.
